Normalt booker jeg ikke her da romprisen ofte overstiger 2 000 kr med god margin, og dermed ute av mitt budsjett. Men da jeg skulle bes\u00f8ke hovedstaden i november og kunne bestille litt god tid i forveien fant jeg rom her til 1 400 kr pr natt, og det slo jeg til p\u00e5.<\/p>\n<p><strong>F\u00f8rste inntrykk<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Jeg ankom hotellet fra Oslo S og det er bare en kort spasertur unna. Bygningen er majestetisk i Oslo, og en av byens mest kjente. Jeg telte 4 ulike resepsjonist-stasjoner som hjalp gjester til \u00e5 sjekke inn og ut. Resepsjonisten lovet \u00e5 sjekke opp i saken og komme tilbake til meg. Jeg sjekket derfor inn som vanlig. Ved mitt f\u00f8rste opphold av de to nevnte, ble jeg oppgradert til en junior suite. Dette var ikke som f\u00f8lge av min krangling om prisen, men gjort p\u00e5 forh\u00e5nd ettersom det p\u00e5 rommet var et kort med navnet mitt p\u00e5&#8230;&#8230; (Ved mitt andre opphold ble jeg oppgradert til Business Class rom, s\u00e5 bra uttelling p\u00e5 oppgradering som platinum her.)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rommet<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Jeg skulle ikke lenger opp enn til 4. etasje for \u00e5 finne min juniorsuite, som hadde vindu ut mot inngangspartiet og Oslo Spektrum. Som man ser av bildet over, var det plassert en stor TV midt i rommet. Eneste minuset var at denne kun var mulig \u00e5 se p\u00e5 fra sengen. Det er alltid hyggelig, og innholdet i den varierer veldig fra hotell til hotell. Denne var utstyrt med sensorer slik at alt man r\u00f8rte ved kom p\u00e5 regningen. Dette systemet er jeg sterk motstander av. Jeg liker \u00e5 ha muligheten for \u00e5 sette mine egne varer i et kj\u00f8leskap p\u00e5 rommet. Spesielt n\u00e5r man tar seg friheten av \u00e5 ta 62 kr for en brus i minibaren. Man er tross alt ikke i en restaurant, men p\u00e5 ens eget rom. Samme pris som Narvesen tar ville v\u00e6re akseptabelt. Her er det mange hoteller som har noe \u00e5 l\u00e6re. Jeg ankom litt sent, og brukte derfor skrivebordet et par timer f\u00f8r jeg trakk over i sengen. Skrivebordet fungerte jo, men savnet muligheten for \u00e5 kunne se TV samtidig. Det var greit med str\u00f8mforsyning etc, og det gjaldt ogs\u00e5 fra sengen. Den var stor, romslig og god og ligge i og jeg sov meget godt.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Frokost<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>En av fordelene med \u00e5 bo i et Business Class rom eller h\u00f8yere (inkludert min junior suite) er at man kan bestille gratis frokost p\u00e5 rommet. Det \u00e5 unng\u00e5 frokostsalens jag og mas, spesielt p\u00e5 slike store hoteller, er en velsignelse. En deilig start p\u00e5 dagen, og den hadde alt det jeg trengte og mer til. Det var s\u00e5 mye mat at jeg ikke klarte \u00e5 spise opp. Dette synes jeg er et meget godt tiltak som ellers koster dr\u00f8ye 300 kr utenom hvis man \u00f8nsker den slags oppvartning.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Neste opphold<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Ved mitt neste opphold fikk jeg oppgradering til et Business Class rom. Dette l\u00e5 i 32 etasje, p\u00e5 samme etasje som noen av hotellets store suiter. En stor konferanseavdeling som holder til b\u00e5de p\u00e5 bakkeplan og i 33 etasje kan gi konferansegjester en super opplevelse. Restauranten ligner egentlig p\u00e5 en kjedelig, lang og tynn tarm. Den har f\u00e5tt en del skryt i pressen, mens andre ikke er fullt s\u00e5 forn\u00f8yd. Normalt har jeg ikke noen gode erfaringer med hotellrestauranter i Norge, selv om det sikkert finnes unntak. Liker spesielt godt at de kan sende deg regningen rett p\u00e5 mail s\u00e5 man slipper \u00e5 holde styr p\u00e5 kvitteringen underveis p\u00e5 reisen.<\/p>\n<p>Jeg skal gj\u00f8re oppmerksom p\u00e5 at min klage fra dagen f\u00f8r p\u00e5 prisen hadde de ikke noe svar p\u00e5 og jeg ble oppfordret til \u00e5 klage til deres kundeservice. Dette viste seg \u00e5 v\u00e6re f\u00e5nyttes. Det er synd hvis det skal v\u00e6re slik i fremtiden at man m\u00e5 spare p\u00e5 skjermbilder fra bookingprosessen for \u00e5 argumentere for hva man skal betale, men siden jeg ikke har opplevd det f\u00f8r eller siden, h\u00e5per jeg at dette bare var en glipp, men det har gjort meg mer observant og jeg f\u00f8lger bedre med n\u00e5 enn f\u00f8r n\u00e5r jeg booker hoteller.<\/p>\n<p>Du kan samle opp poeng til Radisson Rewards, noe som er smart \u00e5 gj\u00f8re hvis du bor nok netter\/ stays til \u00e5 opptjene status i kjeden.
