Hvordan klarer British Airways sig sammenlignet med sine europ\u00e6iske konkurrenter? Vi har testet to morgenafgange med selskabet p\u00e5 str\u00e6kningen mellem Oslo og London Heathrow.<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><em>Oslo &#8211; London Heathrow<\/em><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Check-in p\u00e5 Gardermoen<\/strong><br \/>\nMed afgang kl. 7.30 og indtjekket bagage, s\u00e5 m\u00f8dte vi op i terminalen halvanden time f\u00f8r planlagt afgangstid. British Airways har sin egen skranke for statuspassagerer og rejsende i Club Europe\/Club World\/First. Der var uendelige k\u00f8er i deres Economy check-in denne morgen, men ingen k\u00f8 i ovenn\u00e6vnte skranke. P\u00e5 skranken stod der et skilt om at flyvningen var overbooket og at frivillige ville f\u00e5 250 euro i kompensation, hvis de ville tage n\u00e6ste fly kl. 11.35. Vi leverede vores kolli og fik udleveret boardingkort for begge flyvninger. Derefter bev\u00e6gede vi os mod Fast Track. Her var der minimal k\u00f8 og vi var igennem p\u00e5 hele 3 minutter.<br \/>\nVi gik videre mod OSL-loungen, hvor en hyggelig dame \u00f8nskede os velkomne. Til morgenmad b\u00f8d de p\u00e5 et bredt udvalg af p\u00e5l\u00e6g med tilh\u00f8rende br\u00f8d og baguetter.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-34044\" src=\"https:\/\/finalcall.travel\/no\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2018\/09\/Frokost-i-OSL-lounge-1024x768.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"696\" height=\"522\" \/><br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-34045\" src=\"https:\/\/finalcall.travel\/no\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2018\/09\/Godkjent-frokostutvalg-i-OSL-lounge-1024x768.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"696\" height=\"522\" \/><br \/>\nDer var god plads i loungen denne morgen og jeg estimerer en bel\u00e6gning p\u00e5 omkring 50%. Vi fik en hel siddegruppe for os selv uden at det b\u00f8d p\u00e5 problemer for andre. Omkring 40 minutter f\u00f8r afgangstid gik vi mod paskontrollen. Overraskende nok var der heller ingen k\u00f8 her &#8211; selv med to morgenfly (SAS og British Airways) til London Heathrow samt Qatar Airways afgang til Doha.<br \/>\nQatar Airways holdt ved nabogaten med deres Boeing 787. En maskine som har 22 s\u00e6der p\u00e5 Business Class og 232 p\u00e5 Economy.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-34047\" src=\"https:\/\/finalcall.travel\/no\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2018\/09\/Qatar-Airways-sin-Dreamliner-ved-gate-p\u00e5-Gardermoen-1024x768.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"696\" height=\"522\" \/><br \/>\n<strong>Ombordstigning<\/strong><br \/>\nEt par minutter over klokken 07.00 startede bording fra gate F18 og her annoncerede de priority boarding, som ogs\u00e5 blev h\u00e5ndh\u00e6vet i praksis. Dagens flyindivid, som skulle fragte os til London var G-EUYI, en Airbus A320-maskine som blev leveret til British Airways i juni 2010. Oprindeligt havde maskinen 162 s\u00e6der, men dette blev \u00f8get i 2014 til 168 s\u00e6der. En hyggelige kvindelig Cabin Service Manager \u00f8nskede os velkommen i d\u00f8ren og vi fandt vores s\u00e6der, som vi skulle sidde i mod London, 2A og 2C. Fra mit s\u00e6de kunne jeg kigge over p\u00e5 Qatar Airways igen og konstatere at her ville der v\u00e6re behov for de-icing inden afgang.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-34048\" src=\"https:\/\/finalcall.travel\/no\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2018\/09\/Utsikt-fra-sete-2A-om-bord-G-EUYI-1024x768.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"696\" height=\"522\" \/><br \/>\n<strong>Flyveturen<\/strong><br \/>\nKaptajnen kom derefter p\u00e5 med sin velkomsttale og han kunne fort\u00e6lle om en flyvetid p\u00e5 2 timer p\u00e5 den 1.208 km lange rejse mod London Heathrow. Han meddelte ogs\u00e5 at vi skulle de-ice f\u00f8r afgang. Maskinen var helt fyldt &#8211; b\u00e5de p\u00e5 de fem r\u00e6kker p\u00e5 Club Europe og i \u00f8konomiklasse.<br \/>\nGodt fem minutter efter planlagt afgangstid forlod flyet gaten og vi kunne s\u00e6tte kurs mod de-icing. Selvom det tager lidt ekstra tid, s\u00e5 synes jeg altid det er et facinerende skue p\u00e5 vintertid.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-34050\" src=\"https:\/\/finalcall.travel\/no\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2018\/09\/Tid-for-de-ice-f\u00f8r-avgang-fra-OSL-1024x768.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"696\" height=\"522\" \/><br \/>\nIkke l\u00e6nge efter satte vi kursen mod London og den hyggelige kabinebes\u00e6tning startede umiddelbart med dagens servering af morgenmad. En varm klud p\u00e5 morgenkvisten er altid velkommen.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-34051\" src=\"https:\/\/finalcall.travel\/no\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2018\/09\/Varm-klut-f\u00f8r-frokost-BA-761-1024x768.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"696\" height=\"522\" \/><br \/>\nVi fik valget mellem traditionel engelsk morgenmad eller omelet. Strengt taget s\u00e5 der ikke ud til at v\u00e6re den store forskel mellem de to. Rejsef\u00f8lget og undertegnede valgte begge omelet, som s\u00e5 s\u00e5dan ud:<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-34053\" src=\"https:\/\/finalcall.travel\/no\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2018\/09\/Frokost-BA-761-1024x768.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"696\" height=\"522\" \/><br \/>\nDerefter fulgte bes\u00e6tningen op med drikkevarer. Jeg tog en kop kaffe og en vand.\u00a0En dejlig detalje hos British Airways er at kaffen serveres i ordentlige kaffekrus. Sp\u00f8rger du mig, s\u00e5 giver dette en helt anden smagsoplevelse end at f\u00e5 kaffen serveret i et papkrus.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-34054\" src=\"https:\/\/finalcall.travel\/no\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2018\/09\/Frokost-med-kaffe-i-ordentlige-kaffekopper-1024x768.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"696\" height=\"522\" \/><br \/>\nMaden smagte godt, men vi spiste kun halvdelen for at bygge op lidt appetit til serveringen i Concorde Room i London. Bes\u00e6tningen var flinke til at sp\u00f8rge om opfyldning og bordet mellem s\u00e6derne var et udem\u00e6rket sted at stille sine drikkevarer.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-34055\" src=\"https:\/\/finalcall.travel\/no\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2018\/09\/Garantert-ledig-midtsete-i-BA-sin-Club-Europe-1024x768.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"696\" height=\"522\" \/><br \/>\nResten af turen gik med lidt l\u00e6sning og at nyde udsigten. Kabinen ombord p\u00e5 G-EUYI s\u00e5 s\u00e5dan ud:<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-34056\" src=\"https:\/\/finalcall.travel\/no\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2018\/09\/Kabinen-om-bord-BA-761-1024x768.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"696\" height=\"522\" \/><br \/>\nVi fik en fin indflyvning denne morgen.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-34062\" src=\"https:\/\/finalcall.travel\/no\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2018\/09\/Innflyvning-til-London-Heathrow-1024x768.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"696\" height=\"522\" \/><br \/>\nEt kvarters tid f\u00f8r rutetid kl. 9.10 dumpede vi ned p\u00e5 London\/Heathrow. Det er aldrig skidt at se mange af flyselskabet langrutemaskiner parkeret i London. Vi fik gate ved A-terminalen og parkerede ved siden af G-CIVC, en Boeing 747, som blev leveret til selskabet i februar 1994. Maskinen har 14 s\u00e6der i First, 52 i Club World, 36 i World Traveller Plus og 235 i World Traveller.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-34057\" src=\"https:\/\/finalcall.travel\/no\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2018\/09\/G-CIVC-ved-gate-p\u00e5-Heathrow-1024x768.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"696\" height=\"522\" \/><br \/>\nN\u00e6ste stop for os var dermed British Airways Concorde Room, som vi snart vil komme med en test af ogs\u00e5.<br \/>\n<strong><em>Returrejsen fra London Heathrow til Oslo:<\/em><\/strong><br \/>\nVi havde bedt om at f\u00e5 bagagen checket ind hele vejen fra Boston, s\u00e5 vi troppede op kun med h\u00e5ndbagage lidt efter kl. 6 lokal tid. I Fast Track gik det hurtigt og vi var igennem p\u00e5 et par minutter. Med ankomst dagen i forvejen fra Boston i First Class, s\u00e5 kunne vi igen benytte Concorde Room for morgenmaden.<br \/>\n<strong>Ombordstigning<\/strong><br \/>\nDagens BA762 stod opf\u00f8rt fra gate A10 og det betyder at man skal tage en rulletrappe et niveau ned og dermed har busgate. Priority Boarding startede allerede kl. 6.55. Set i bakspejlet var det et godt valg da &#8220;busruten&#8221; gik rundt igennem det halve af Heathrow for vi kom frem til G-EUXK &#8211; en af selskabets 18 Airbus A321-maskiner. Denne maskine blev leveret til British Airways i august 2007 og har hele 205 s\u00e6der. Denne gang sad vi p\u00e5 s\u00e6de 1A og 1C.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-34060\" src=\"https:\/\/finalcall.travel\/no\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2018\/09\/Beinplass-sete-1-A-om-bord-G-EUXK-1024x768.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"696\" height=\"522\" \/><br \/>\nFor de, som undrer sig over hvordan 1D og 1F ser ud i denne konfiguration, s\u00e5 kan de byde p\u00e5 denne benplads:<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-34063\" src=\"https:\/\/finalcall.travel\/no\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2018\/09\/1-DEF-om-bord-G-EUXK-1024x768.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"696\" height=\"522\" \/><br \/>\nEfterf\u00f8lgende kom der endnu en bus fyldt med passagerer og kaptajnen kunne foretage dagens velkomsttale. Han lovede en kort flyvetid p\u00e5 kun lidt over halvanden time til Oslo denne dag. P\u00e5 denne afgang var der 6 r\u00e6kker p\u00e5 Club Europe med en bel\u00e6gning p\u00e5 omkring 60%. I \u00f8konomiklasse var bel\u00e6gningen p\u00e5 omkring 80%<br \/>\n<strong>Flyveturen<\/strong><br \/>\nNogen minutter efter rutetid lukkede man d\u00f8rene og vi kunne k\u00f8re til k\u00f8en for take-off. Som altid i London, s\u00e5 tager dette lidt tid, men hvad g\u00f8r det n\u00e5r man kan kigge p\u00e5 mange interessante fly som letter. Til slut blev det vores tur og vi fik en flot udsigt over Terminal 2.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-34065\" src=\"https:\/\/finalcall.travel\/no\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2018\/09\/Terminal-2-p\u00e5-Heathrow-sett-fra-luften-1024x768.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"696\" height=\"522\" \/><br \/>\nDet var gr\u00e5t over London denne morgen, mens Norge ventede p\u00e5 os med str\u00e5lende solskin.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-34067\" src=\"https:\/\/finalcall.travel\/no\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2018\/09\/P\u00e5-gjensyn-London-1024x768.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"696\" height=\"522\" \/><br \/>\nIgen var kabinebes\u00e6tningen hurtige til at starte serveringen. Denne gang tog de bestillinger p\u00e5 drikkevarer f\u00f8rst og jeg valgte igen en vand og en kop kaffe.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-34069\" src=\"https:\/\/finalcall.travel\/no\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2018\/09\/Vann-og-kaffe-1024x768.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"696\" height=\"522\" \/><br \/>\nVi var relativt m\u00e6tte efter morgenmaden i Concorde Room, men m\u00e5tte jo teste hvad British Airways kunne tilbyde ombord ogs\u00e5. Desv\u00e6rre var udseende og smag p\u00e5 nogenlunde samme niveau. Damerne som serverede foran i kabinen var derimod proaktive og tilb\u00f8d opfyldning af drikke flere gange.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-34070\" src=\"https:\/\/finalcall.travel\/no\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2018\/09\/Frokostservering-om-bord-BA-762-1024x768.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"696\" height=\"522\" \/><br \/>\nResten af turen forl\u00f8b uden de st\u00f8rre h\u00e6ndelsene.
